| Welcome to The Bass Planet. My name is Steven A. Hoffman, teacher, musician, author, and last but sooooo not very least: BASS PLAYER. I've been playing the bass for over 25 years, and have been lucky enough to forge out a living through the bass, on both the upright and electric. The Bass Planet is a site than can help your bass related questions and needs. I've got over 15 years of steady bass teaching experience. The Bass Planet will get you info on how to contact me for bass lessons. I teach in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California. I also perform in a lot of different, cool ensembles that might appeal to your viewing and listening pleasures. The Bass Planet will fill you in about gigs that I play around the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as other trippy musical events. You can also sample some of the different groups I play with in the Listen page. But The Bass Planet is not all about me. The links page is dedicated to ALL STYLES of music around the planet and will soon grow into a resource guide for all to enjoy, for all things bass . . . and beyond. Ilook forward to meeting you.
